Why
I do it:
Life is an adventure. Making movies extends that into your
work.
How
I got here:
I was born in the shadow of the studios. As a child I loved watching
movies. Movies and movie people were always around me. I went to
USC and earned a BA in Telecommunications, and to Columbia College
where I received an MA in Cinema. I was trained in Steadicam by
Garrett Brown and Ted Churchill. My passion for the ocean led me
to underwater photography.
The
Future:
I spent the first 25 years of my career shooting film, first in the optical effects lab, then underwater, then as a Steadicam operator. I spent the 2002-3 TV season shooting Hi-Def24p video on "The Bernie Mac Show" and was impressed with the possibilities. Besides shooting Steadicam for the Hollywood Studios, I've invested in Digital Video, and am now shooting my own projects: documentaries, corporate video and cable commercials, then doing the editing and post-production on my Mac.
I am now offering these services in Western Australia.
